Here comes ‘Sardaarji’ to catch the ghosts

Superstar Diljit Dosanjh will be seen playing a ghost hunter in this upcoming Punjabi rom-com, slated to be released on 26th June

Continuing the successful league of Punjabi entertainment films, Gunbir Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu are ready with yet another ‘ghost-controlling’ romantic comedy. Yes you got it right! Our protagonist Diljit Dosanjh is capturing the ghosts and solving their problems as ‘Sardaarji’. This production of White Hill Production is ready to hit the screens on 26th June. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, the film also stars Neeru Bajwa, Mandy Takhar and Jaswinder Bhalla.
Specially shot in England’s haunted Castle Craigdarroch, the film is all about the love of a ghost and a human with a lot of twists and turns and of course comedy! Sardaarji is the ghost buster has been specially invited to England from Punjab for his ghost controlling skills. Explains Diljit, “When I first heard the script I thought I would be playing the ghost but I had to catch them actually! Hats off to our writer Dheeraj Rattan for such a beautiful script. This is actually the film to look forward to.”
The director Rohit Jugraj is pretty happy with his Pollywood innings and looks promising with this project. He said, “It is always about a good combination because film-making is purely a team work. Starting from the script till the distribution of the prints, every single step matters and here we have everything in-house. Gunbir and Manmord have been great people to work with and they understand the mechanism very well.”
Gunbir Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu, the duo has been entertaining the Punjabi audience since a long time now and we really can expect good output from them. They said, “A film which is planned well on paper, does well on the Box Office window. We make sure that we learn and grow further with every new project of ours. Of course ups and downs are part of life but an entertainer should never stop.”
The leading ladies Neeru and Mandy look promising in the film’s promos and have enjoyed the shoot well. Mandy, though, had some ‘ghostly’ experiences on the sets, Neeru enjoyed playing pranks on her partnering with Diljit. Neeru said that she has been lucky to work again with the whole team and is looking forward to a historic Box Office report again. Mandy looks happy exploring the new avenues and is excited about the project.
